Fortis Hospital Mulund is seeking a dedicated and skilled General Surgery Registrar to support the General Surgery department in delivering high-quality surgical care. 

• The registrar will be responsible for evaluating surgical patients, conducting pre-operative assessments, assisting consultants during surgical procedures, managing post-operative care, and ensuring continuity of patient treatment. 
• The role involves performing clinical examinations, interpreting diagnostic investigations, preparing treatment plans under consultant supervision, responding to surgical emergencies, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. 
• The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical and surgical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced tertiary care hospital while adhering to evidence-based practices and patient safety standards.

• Assess and manage patients with general surgical conditions.
• Conduct preoperative evaluations and postoperative follow-ups.
• Assist consultants during elective and emergency surgeries.
• Monitor patient progress and manage surgical emergencies.
• Review laboratory and imaging investigations.
• Prepare treatment plans under consultant supervision.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with OT, ICU, nursing, and allied healthcare teams.
• Participate in ward rounds, academic sessions, and clinical audits.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards.
