We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate consultant vitreo-retina surgeon to join our ophthalmology team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing diseases affecting the retina, vitreous, and posterior segment of the eye.
- The role involves performing advanced vitreoretinal surgeries, retinal laser procedures, intravitreal injections, and managing both elective and emergency retinal conditions.
- The Consultant will collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, anesthetists, and clinical support teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centric eye care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
- The ideal candidate should possess exceptional surgical skills, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.
Roles & Responsibilites
- Diagnose and manage retinal and vitreoretinal disorders.
- Perform Pars Plana Vitrectomy (PPV), retinal detachment surgery, membrane peeling, macular hole repair, and silicone oil procedures.
- Administer intravitreal anti-VEGF and steroid injections.
- Perform retinal laser procedures, including PRP and focal/grid laser photocoagulation.
- Interpret OCT, OCTA, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA), ICGA, B-scan ultrasonography, and other retinal investigations.
- Manage emergency retinal conditions, including retinal tears, retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, endophthalmitis, and ocular trauma.
- Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical outcomes, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with NABH standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, CME activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
